AI the age of 5 or 6, Doug Marshall received his first camera as a gift from his grandparents and discovered photography. 'I just fell in love with it.' Although that first camera did not last long, as he tripped and fell on it while running up the back stairs to his house, Doug's drive to create images never vanished. With stints as a waiter, ski burn, and outdoor educator, Doug finely decided to put his professional energy on photography. 'For years I had been leading trips in the outdoors, assisting young people in self discovery old encouraging them to pursue their passions. I finally took my own advice!' With his life's events, Doug has been able to successfully combine his talent for creating images with his pursuit of an adventure/outdoor lifestyle. 'I strive to give the viewer an emotional kick in the pants, so to speak. If they are moved to pursue their passions, dreams, or to take action for a cause, I have done my job. I also attempt to keep the viewer mindful of the perspective of the big picture of things. As the saying goes, life is to short to sweat the small stuff.'

Doug has shot images from the lush tropical forests of Central America to the majestic mountains of British Colombia and all points in between. With this experience, Doug is capable of documenting large expeditions and commercial assignments down to the local, backyard shoot.

Know for his quirky sense of humor and upbeat tempo, Doug balances these qualities with his professionalism and his relentless pursuit to get the shot. With this unique combination of traits, Doug has become a favorite photographer to his growing list of clients in the commercial and editorial fields.
